Westchester News - O'Shea's inside job lifts
WHITE PLAINS— As the Harrison basketball team's offense sputtered to begin its boys challenge contest against Mahopac on Wednesday in the Slam Dunk Tournament at the Westchester County Center, senior Brendan O'Shea started taking matters into his own hands.
WHITE PLAINS— It's no surprise at all that Briarcliff and Irvington will meet in the girls championship game of the Slam Dunk tournament today at the County Center. It certainly won't be a surprise if they meet again on the same floor in early March.
WHITE PLAINS— Whether it was a coincidence or not, Briarcliff's momentum began to slip right around the time coach Don Hamlin was whistled for a technical foul midway through the second quarter. Kennedy had whittled the Bears' lead from 13 points to seven by halftime, and Hamlin felt the need to address the issue in the locker room.
